Overview

Nestled in the vibrant 11th arrondissement of Paris, at 7 Rue St Sabin, Café Céleste offers a charming and intimate escape that resonates with authenticity and warmth. This Cape Verdean-inspired restaurant captures the essence of soulful dining through a thoughtfully curated menu, where simplicity meets depth in every bite.

The highlights of Café Céleste's offerings reflect a harmony of flavors: the comforting Rice Bowl serves as a hearty main dish, perfectly balanced by distinctive sides like Fried Banana and Fried Sweet Potato which add a subtle sweetness and crisp texture. The Lentilles Vertes stand out as a nutritious and flavorful accompaniment, showcasing the kitchen’s attention to traditional, wholesome ingredients. Complementing the food, their Negroni is crafted with finesse, a testament to their expertise in pairing drinks that elevate the entire meal.

Beyond the palate, the ambience of Café Céleste enchants with its cozy interior and live musical touches that transform every visit into an engaging experience. Guests, like Paddy O’Connell, have praised the live singer who creates a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, ideal for both casual evenings and special occasions. It is this combination of intimate space and heartfelt service that makes the restaurant inviting to both locals and travelers seeking authentic flavors and a vibrant cultural atmosphere.
